Agenda
The European Boards Growth & Resilience Forum is a working forum — not a conference. You will spend the day in conversation with fellow board directors from across Europe, exploring how boards can govern the green, digital and sovereignty transitions as one interconnected strategic challenge.
The day is structured around three main-stage sessions — a moderated interview and two panels — each followed by facilitated roundtable discussions in smaller groups. These roundtables are where the real work happens. You will be expected to contribute actively, share your own board experience honestly, and engage with the perspectives of peers from different countries, sectors and ownership contexts. The day closes with a keynote bringing together the threads of the conversation.
Everything said during the day is governed by the Chatham House Rule — insights may be shared and used, but must not be attributed to individuals or their organisations.
Notes will be taken at each roundtable to capture the collective insights of the room. These will feed directly into the European Boards Growth & Resilience Roadmap, to be published in association with the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos in January 2027. Your contribution matters — this is not just a conversation, it is a direct input into a European governance agenda.
The updated agenda is here.
Look book & Your roundtable assignment
To find out which roundtable group you will be joining, please complete your profile in the participant lookbook, deadline is Sunday 4th of October at 23:59. The lookbook also gives you the opportunity to see who else will be in the room before the day — so you can arrive already familiar with your fellow board directors.
Lookbook

Meet your fellow board directors and find your roundtable
One of the most valuable aspects of the Forum is the people in the room. Around 50 senior non-executive directors and chairs from across Europe — different countries, different sectors, different ownership contexts, different governance systems. The conversations that happen between sessions, over coffee and during the roundtables themselves are often as valuable as anything on the programme.
To make the most of that, we have created a participant lookbook — a simple directory where you can see who else will be joining us in Amsterdam before the day itself. We encourage you to browse it in advance, identify peers whose board experience complements or contrasts with your own, and arrive with some of those conversations already in mind.
The lookbook also serves a practical purpose: it is where you will find your roundtable room assignments. The Forum is built around three roundtable sessions, and participants are grouped deliberately — balancing ownership types, sectors, geographies and governance contexts to make each table as rich and as diverse as possible. Your assignments will appear in the lookbook once confirmed, so please check back closer to the date.
To appear in the lookbook and access your room assignments, please complete your short profile using the link below. It takes just a few minutes, the deadline is Sunday 4th of October at 23:59.
Filming and photos
Please note, there will be a videographer and photographer capturing key moments of the event on the day. You may be asked to briefly share your reflections on the event to camera. If you do not want to be approached for filming or photography, please let us know in advance.
Images and footage may be used by Boards Impact Forum and Chapter Zero Netherlands for event documentation, communications, website and social media content. If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please notify us in advance at fernanda.torre@boardsimpactforum.com . You may also request the removal of any identifiable images of yourself after the event.

Homework
This is a working forum and the quality of the conversations depends on how prepared everyone is coming into the room. We have put together three things we would like you to engage with before 7 October.
Watch the webinar

Watch the webinar: The China Factor in Europe’s Competitiveness and Net Zero Transition
On 18 September, Boards Impact Forum hosted a joint webinar with the Climate Governance Initiative Hong Kong Chapter exploring the strategic implications of China’s development for European boards. China’s leadership in clean technology, electric vehicles, batteries and green industrial development is reshaping competitive dynamics, supply chains and geopolitical dependencies in ways that are directly relevant to the conversations we will be having in Amsterdam. We encourage you to watch the recording before the Forum.
Watch webinarExplore AI governance for boards

Explore AI governance for boards — a programme designed for non-executive directors
AI is no longer a future topic for boards — it is arriving inside organisations faster than most governance frameworks were designed to handle. And as we will explore in Amsterdam, AI is inseparable from the energy, sovereignty and sustainability dimensions of the triple transition.
To help you engage confidently with this dimension of the Forum’s conversation, we invite you to explore our AI Leadership for Boards programme — a research-based online programme designed specifically for non-executive directors, by people who sit on boards themselves. Built on the book AI Leadership for Boards, published by Springer Nature in collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology and Stockholm School of Economics, and reviewed by MIT and INSEAD, it is one of the most rigorous board-level AI governance programmes available.
The programme is fully online and self-paced, combining 26 lessons across 7 modules with live webinars and AI-powered boardroom simulations — realistic governance scenarios where you can test your thinking before the real conversation.
An special discount of 30% is available until the registration deadline on 24th of October, only of the participants of the Amesterdam event and their boards. For you, the enrollment fee €1,715 + VAT with the code Amsterdam30Off (full price €2,450 + VAT).
Complete the survey

Complete the European Boards Growth & Resilience Survey
If you have not yet completed our survey, please do so before the Forum. Your input directly informs the Roadmap we will be co-creating together on 7 October — and arriving having already reflected on the questions will make you a stronger contributor to the roundtable discussions. It takes approximately 5 minutes and is open exclusively to board directors.
Survey deadline: 7 November 2026
Read the Draghi Report

Read the Draghi Report — or at least the key findings
The European Boards Growth & Resilience Roadmap is built on the diagnosis that the Draghi Report made in 2024: that Europe faces a structural competitiveness challenge that requires urgent, coordinated action across innovation, decarbonisation and strategic autonomy. This is the backdrop against which every conversation at the Forum will take place.
You do not need to read all 400 pages. But we would encourage you to familiarise yourself with the core findings — particularly the three strategic imperatives that underpin the triple transition framework we will be working with on the day: closing the innovation and technology gap, decarbonising while remaining competitive, and reducing strategic dependencies.
Participation and accommodation
Participation is by invitation and offered on a complimentary basis. There is no participation fee, and the full programme, lunch, drinks and refreshments throughout the day are included.
Participants are kindly asked to arrange and cover their own travel to and from the Forum and their hotel accommodation.

What happens afterwards
The Forum is part of a wider European programme of online and in-person exchanges. Following 7 October, we will share a practical report bringing together insights from the webinar series, the European board survey and the Forum discussions.
How well are European boards governing the intersection of sustainability, digital transformation, and geopolitical change? We want to find out and we need your voice.
The European Boards Growth & Resilience Survey is a first-of-its-kind European baseline, designed exclusively for non-executive and supervisory board directors. It takes just 5 minutes to complete. Your responses will be anonymised and aggregated, and will directly inform the European Boards Growth and Resilience Roadmap, planned for launch in collaboration with the World Economic Forum in February 2027, as well as the continuing programme for board directors across Europe.
