In recent years boards have increased their awareness of the importance of environmental, social, and governance impact.  Now, with new HRDD and CSRD frameworks legally binding, the social sphere is stepping in as an increasingly important aspect of board work.  While a not fully addressed area for some board directors, social impact provides unique possibilities for positive opportunities for businesses, but how do we prioritise, or even value them?

At this event we will address the governance of social impact and the importance of clarifying the social aspects of board governance.

We will present an academic review of Novo Nordisk’s work to alleviate diabetes in children in a number of less developed countries as well as solutions they are considering to quantify the considerable value these activities create in communities.  A panel of board directors will address the social aspects of business impact.  Remember, exchange with “peers, policy makers, and other stakeholders” is a key principle, not only of the Climate Governance Initiative, but also CSRD and HRDD.  Take this opportunity to stay informed of new methodologies being developed in the often overlooked social field.
