Boards Impact Forum , together with INSEAD Corporate Governance Centre and Heidrick & Struggles, are delighted to host a Webinar and Digital Dialogue on Thursday, 17 March, 9-10 AM CET to share the latest findings of a global research study conducted by INSEAD Corporate Governance Centre and Heidrick & Struggles, followed by a panel discussion with highly experienced Board Members.
The research examines how board directors are addressing decarbonization, and to what extent climate change priorities are integrated into boards’ oversight responsibilities.
The findings reveal a clear disconnect between what board members say about the importance of climate change to their companies and that which translate into action. This can likely be explained by knowledge and experience gaps on today’s boards – and the report pointed to an interesting talent paradox: the best leaders on climate change often do not have board experience, and those with skills to navigate board dynamics often lack true understanding of climate change.
Join us for an interactive exchange, as we showcase the research highlights presented by Ron Soonieus, INSEAD and Alice Breeden, Heidrick & Struggles.
The presentation will be followed by a stimulating panel discussion with distinguished guest panellists who will share how board directors can pave the way in leading the organization toward climate resilient future, and both are members of Boards Impact Forums Strategic Advisory Board;
Birger Steen, Non-Executive Director of Nordea, Chair of Nordic Semiconductor, Myneva Group and Pagero, Partner of Summa Equity and INSEAD MBA 94D
Pia Heidenmark Cook, Non-Executive Director at Origin Materials, MAX Burgers, Board Member Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, former Sustainability Director of IKEA and INSEAD IDP graduate who will share how board directors can pave the way in leading the organization toward climate resilient future.
The panel will be moderated by Sonia Tatar, Executive Director INSEAD ICGC and board member Chapter Zero France, and introductions and conclusions will be done by Liselotte Engstam, Chair Boards Impact Forum and Board Member Climate Governance Initiative in collaboration with World Economic Forum
