Strategic Leadership, Transformation and Responsible Value Creation
International Board Leadership Workshop | Thursday 3 December 2026 | 09:00-17:15 CET | Internetstiftelsen, Hammarby Kaj 10D, Stockholm
By 2027, most boards will have an AI strategy on the agenda. Far fewer will be able to say which AI initiatives are building real operational capability, who is accountable when autonomous systems act, and how their ecosystems and dependencies are governed. This full-day International Board Leadership Workshop is built around those questions, from the supervisory board perspective.
The day moves from strategic foresight and value creation in the morning to governance, resilience and board action in the afternoon. Throughout, it looks at AI through a positive impact lens: what AI decisions mean for energy, infrastructure, people and long-term resilience, and how boards can turn that into advantage, not just risk. It brings together practitioners, researchers and directors who sit on boards, and ends with a facilitated boardroom simulation in which participants make an integrated decision on AI investment, ecosystems, autonomy, workforce, sustainability and risk.
What the day covers
- The board’s AI leadership challenge for 2027-2030, using the Boards 4AI framework, including AI’s sustainability impact
- Competing AI futures: geopolitical uncertainty, energy and infrastructure constraints, scenarios and strategic choices
- From AI strategy to innovation and value creation: data, investment priorities and competitive advantage
- Governing AI ecosystems and dependencies: agentic commerce, partnerships, concentration risk and sovereignty
- AI transformation in practice: organisational redesign and value realisation
- Agentic AI, accountability and security: the synthetic workforce
- AI regulation in motion: Sweden, the EU and global developments
- The board-management partnership: roles, trust, constructive challenge and decision rights
- A boardroom simulation and a closing session: what must change in the next 90 days
