Boards Impact Forum Welcomes DEB as a New Partner

Corporate and public boards are increasingly confronted with questions that go far beyond quarterly results. What is the board’s role stregthening competiveness in the Nordics and the EU? How should businesses respond to climate opportunities and mitigate risks? What role does artificial intelligence play in building resilient and competitive businesses? And how can boards ensure they have the right composition and competencies to lead responsibly in a fast-changing world?

At Boards Impact Forum, the Nordic chapter of the World Economic Forum’s Climate Governance Initiative, we believe that boards hold a unique power to influence how organizations navigate these challenges. Our mission is to mobilize board members to accelerate sustainable business transformation and long-term value creation.

To strengthen this mission, we are delighted to announce our new partnership with DEB – Driver Executive Boards.

Why DEB and Boards Impact Forum are joining forces

DEB has established itself as a trusted partner for young and diverse boards in Sweden, combining high-quality board education with board recruitment services. Their work ensures that boards are not only equipped with the right knowledge but also composed of leaders who bring diverse perspectives and the competence needed to meet today’s demands.

By partnering with DEB, Boards Impact Forum expands its ability to reach and engage boards with the pressing issues of value creation and competitiveness, climate governance, and responsible AI. Together, we can:

  • Broaden networks – connecting board members, advisors, and experts in ways that accelerate shared learning and collaboration.
  • Deepen learning opportunities – offering training, dialogues, and resources that blend sustainability expertise with practical boardroom governance.
  • Strengthen board capacity – ensuring that boards are prepared to oversee the complex risks and opportunities tied to both climate change and technological transformation.

A partnership of equals

This collaboration is not about one organization supporting the other from the sidelines. Instead, it is about shared benefit and mutual reinforcement. Boards Impact Forum brings international perspective, access to global frameworks, and thought leadership on sustainability and AI governance. DEB brings hands-on expertise in building strong, diverse boards through education and recruitment.

Together, and with other board networks, we create a stronger platform for the Nordic board community, one where directors gain both the global insights and the practical tools to drive change in their own organizations.

Looking ahead

Through this partnership, we aim to equip more boards to answer the tough questions of our time:

  • How can boards guide businesses to thrive in the low-carbon economy?
  • How can they harness AI responsibly while safeguarding trust and long-term value?
  • And how can they ensure that the next generation of directors is ready to lead with integrity, foresight, and impact?

The journey toward sustainable business is one we must all walk together. With DEB as a new partner, Boards Impact Forum is even better positioned to support boards across the region in stepping confidently into this role.
